    Property dependant on the amount of matter present, for instance, Mass.

    Examples of extensive properties:

    Mass
    Volume
    Entropy
    Energy
    Electrical resistance
    Texture
    Heat

    An extensive property of a system depends on the system size or the amount of material in the system. An intensive property on the other hand is a physical property of the system that does not depend on the system size or the amount of material in the system.
