_____First order is when there is only “one” material in the transition state of the rate-determining reaction. Pseudo-1st order is when there are more than one reactant in TS of the rate-determining step, but the concentrations of all but “one” in the ground state are essentially unchanged and therefore do not show up in the Rate expression. Rate is dX/dt and if dX/dt does not change, [X] becomes part of the rate constant.
