i have this essay to wright, about how we use physical chemistry in our every day life. or how we use it in the science world.

I’m planning on becoming a biochemist and I have solid background in chemistry (1 year) and 2 years of biology (Freshman biology + Senior Advanced Biology) All of which from high school. I’ve covered a unit from organic chem, so I understand the majority of the materials.

Does anyone know a good book that can help me understand biochemistry?

I have organic chemistry demystified but topics seem out of order and all over the place and the explanations very elementary. I understand the subject but would prefer something that sums up major points.

I have a MSc in Biochemistry and I hope to study a PhD in medical technology, Which subjects are useful and near from the Biochemistry?.

If you have a model for an ion which has a force constant for two stretching modes….How would you calculate the corresponding frequencies for the ion?

I need to take Organic Chemistry but I only have time to take one semester of Chem before that. Most colleges I have looked at require 2 semesters of Chem before O-chem. Is there a school where I can take it with only 1? Online class would be good too if possible. Thank you!

I heard that I can get the solutions manual to Bruice’s Organic Chemistry 5th edition textbook on a torrent somewhere online but I’ve tried all of them and I couldn’t find it. can anyone please help me out with this?

My professor mentioned that a peptide bond has one and a half bond. Are there any other concepts on peptide bonds that I should learn about that deals with the biochemistry course?

can someone give me some guidelines?

I don’t want to waste time learning chemistry in uber-detail. Just enough to start learning about organic chemistry and understand it.

I am looking to take biochemistry I over the summer, but cannot easily find any school that offers it in lower westecher or the NYC area. Does anyone have any idea if there are any schools that offer it during their summer sessions in this area?
