I have just taken my Organic Chemistry Final Exam. After two semesters of organic chemistry, I have to say this is the hardest class I have taken because of the volume of information that I have to memorize. I have already scheduled Physical Chemistry for the fall semester, and I am asking those who have taken both Physical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry in college. Which is harder, and…how much harder is it than the other? Should the blood the sweat I poured into Organic Chemistry help me in Physical Chemistry?, or will I be in for a rude awakening?

Hi, I am an undergrad student and majoring in Biochemistry. I was wondering after i get my degree can I somehow go into pharmacy? I know schools have programs (like Rutgers which 6 years) but you have to start your undergrad there.

If I like learning about structures& functions of organisms, etc.- Is it like “physiology”? - which course should I choose????
(To be honest, I’m not really good at chemistry..!)

Are the two courses..similar? Like,..can you specialize in biochemistry once you’ve taken the medical science course or sth like that?

ps. Do you have some UK and/or AUSTRALIA university suggestions? Mainly for ones that offer biochemistry and/or medical science?

I’m looking for a website that goes in-depth into hardcore Organic Chemistry, but one that can also explain the material in a clear way that’s easy to understand and take in. I’ve looked around, but am open to new suggestions. Anything is helpful! Thanks!
I wasn’t trying to diss book learning or anything (I have a huge required textbook): I was just trying to find some other way to learn the material. The reason I ask for websites is that they tend to have animations that might be helpful.

I am currently taking Biochemistry in university and I currently study by rewriting the notes, making diagrams & flow charts, rewriting formulas for repetition. This is not enough, are there any other ways of retaining info (especially chemical formulas)?
Thanks.

I have no chemistry background. Do you think I could take organic chemistry before I take general chemistry, or would that be too hard?

I am taking 21 units and its getting stressful already. All of the classes I have are very, very demanding.

Organic chemistry might be too much for me. How much hour did you put into it? What kind of difficulty am I to expect with o-chem?

I am not a pre-med student, nor am I a chemistry major. I am studying environmental engineering, and organic chem is not required. However, for my own edification I would like a crash course that would make me understand key concepts. Can anyone recommend a book, or list of topics I should learn to achieve my goal? Thanks.
